Eid-el-Fitr: Be polite, civil, professional – Jigawa CP warns police officers

Jigawa State Police Command has warned police officers deployed for the Eid-eil-Fitr celebration to be polite, civil, and professional.

State Police Commissioner, CP. AT Abdullahi gave the warning while briefing newsmen on the command’s preparation.

He guarantees the command’s preparedness to offer impenetrable security during and after the Sallah festivities.

According to him, “the command has ordered the deployment of Conventional/Mobile Policemen, Operatives from the State Intelligence Department, Personnel from Explosive Ordinance Disposal, and Traffic Wardens, as well as necessary logistics at Eid/ Durba Grounds, Recreational centers, Parks, Malls and other vulnerable areas across the twenty-seven (27) LGAs in the state.”

He assured of the command’s readiness to collaborate with other security agencies and all critical stakeholders to ensure that the celebration was peaceful and hitch-free.

Abdullahi promised to fish out undesirable individuals who might take advantage of the situation to stir up unrest.

He urged the members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement of persons or objects to the nearest police station or other security agencies for immediate intervention.

The Police Commissioner congratulated all Muslims for the successful completion of this year’s 2024 fasting and called on them to imbibe and practice the virtues that entail kindness, love, tolerance, peace, and compassion.
