Lawmaker expresses concern over poor communication network in Taraba constituency

The member representing Gassol II in the Taraba State House of Assembly, Musa Chul, has called on both the state and federal governments to expedite action towards ensuring that communication networks are extended to his constituency

Chul, who made the call on Tuesday in Jalingo, said the absence of communication network in the constituency made it difficult for eligible voters to come out en-masse in the last general election to exercise their franchise.

The lawmaker disclosed that during the 2023 general elections, voters in his constituency were disenfranchised because of poor communication network.

“During the 2023 general elections, only 45% among my constituents have PVCs, those who didn’t have couldn’t vote. The reasons were because those who didn’t have couldn’t be accessed properly by the electoral umpire due to poor network.
