Serge Aurier slams Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko for Ukraine comments

Serge Aurier, the Ivorian right-back, has criticised Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko for his comments about being ready to fight for Ukraine.

Zinchenko, who has donated over £1 million to aid efforts in Ukraine since the start of the conflict with Russia, recently said he would not hesitate to take up arms to defend his country if he were ever called up to the army.

However, Aurier has slammed Zinchenko for his comments, calling them “cinema” and telling him to stop the drama and go to his country right away.

Aurier made a post on Snapchat, “Stop your cinema and go there right now [to Ukraine]. A real volunteer doesn’t need anyone to call him up.”

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has lasted over two years, with several Ukrainians losing a great deal in the attacks.
