‘He would’ve made me better’ – Gerrard names manager he regrets not playing for

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard recently revealed that he regretted not playing under former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The former England international believes Mourinho would have made him a better player if he had moved to Chelsea and played under the Portuguese.

Although Gerrard has no regrets about rejecting the move, he still wished he could have played under the former Real Madrid manager.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand on the FIVE YouTube channel, Gerrard stated that he has a great admiration for Mourinho and believes they would have won a lot of trophies together.

Gerrard said: “I love the manager, I love the man. I have had a distant relationship with him for many many years. But, I have regrets for not playing for the man and the coach because I know he would have made me a better player. I know we would have added more trophies to what I’ve already won.”
