Transfer: Romano gives update on Nigerian striker Umar’s move to Chelsea

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided more updates on Nigerian striker Ibrahim Hafiz Umar’s move to Chelsea.

DAILY POST reported on Monday that Chelsea winger, Raheem Sterling, spoke to Ibrahim on a video call, playing a key role in securing him a trial at the club.

The 18-year-old has attracted interest from several top European clubs, after scoring 10 goals in six games at the Viareggio Cup.

Ibrahim, a 6ft 2in target man, plays for Ojodu City in Lagos state and previously had a trial at Bodo/Glimt in Norway.

Romano, in a tweet on Tuesday confirmed that the player has decided for trial at Chelsea instead of joining FK Bodø/Glimt despite a club-to-club deal done for €500k.
