Ondo Guber Primary: PDP sets up screening committee

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has set up a special committee for the screening of aspirants ahead of the governorship primary election in Ondo State.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba, on Saturday, said the screening exercise is scheduled to take place at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza in Abuja, next Wednesday.

Ologunagba urged all PDP governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders, leaders and party members to take note of the date and prepare accordingly.

He also disclosed that a former Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator Sam Egwu, will act as chairman of the screening committee while the PDP Zonal Secretary for the South West, Chief Rahman Owokoniran, is the secretary.

Three female members of the Committee are Mrs Olivia Dazyman, Ambassador Gladys Ashemuke and Ms Caroline Akinsete, who is the committee’s Administrative Secretary.

Other members of the screening committee are Senator Isa Shuaibu Lau, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi and Mr Tanko Beji.
