Niger Tornadoes caretaker coach, Majin Mohammed has attributed his team’s defeat against Enyimba to loss of concentration but also has kind words for his players.
Mohammed believed that his players gave a good account themselves in the game despite the defeat.
The Ikon Allah Boys fell 3-1 to the defending champions in Aba on Sunday.
Alade Balogun, Uche Collins and Elijah Akanni netted for the host in the game.
Akintunde Azeez scored the consolation for Niger Tornadoes.
“It was a good game from the boys after playing so well in the first half to stop them from scoring,” he told the club media.
“I’m not disappointed with the performance considering our opponent.
“We didn’t come to Aba with the mentality to defend but to attack, but unfortunately, it was not a good day for us, because no matter what strategy you adopt; it’s either you lose, draw or win.
“We lost against a more organised team, Enyimba, one of the best team in the country.
“Our next target is to go back home and plan for our next game against Shooting Stars.”
Niger Tornadoes dropped to 16th place on the log following the disappointing defeat.
