Niger CP decorates PPRO Abiodun, 40 others to ranks of Superintendent of Police

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP, Ebenezer Danmamman, has decorated forty-one Deputy Superintendents of Police, DSPs, including the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Wasiu Abiodun to the next rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the state.

Decorating the officers in Minna, CP Danmamman said the forty-one police officers were part of the 1,607 DSP recently promoted to SP by the Police Service Commission(PSC) based on recommendations of the IGP in the country.

While congratulating the beneficiaries on their promotion, he told the officers that their new position comes with more responsibility, and expectations in terms of credible performance are required in line with the IGP’s vision.

Danmamman also urged the officers to have respect for human rights, be people-friendly, and operate intelligently with the deployment of technology to their duties.

The CP then admonished them to take care of their families as they progressed in the job.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, SP Jagaba P. Lukas thanked the state Commissioner of Police for the positive recommendations of officers’ APERs to the Force Headquarters.

Lukas also appreciated the IGP and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission for making the welfare of officers a priority.
