Nigeria occupy second position on the standings with 22 gold, 10 silver and 16 bronze medals.
The West Africans face a difficult task of upstaging Egypt at the top of the log following the gap between the two countries.
Nigeria also finished second at the previous edition of the African Games in Morocco.
The athletes amassed 127 medals (46 gold, 33 silver, and 48 bronze) at the Games.
Algeria, South Africa and Tunisia currently completed the top five countries on the log at the ongoing Africa Games in Accra, Ghana.
