Guardiola names player he wished he’d coached

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has named Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane as the player he wishes he had the chance to coach.

Guardiola has enjoyed an illustrious managerial career so far.

The Spainaird has coached different footballing icons, including the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Xabi Alonso and Xavi.

However, Guardiola admitted that he wished he’d got the opportunity to either coach or play alongside Zidane.

“One player I wish I could have coached? Zidane,” Guardiola said (via Madrid Xtra).

“I would have loved to manage him, or play alongside him.”

Zidane was played for the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus during his playing days.
