Hardship: Group advises youths to look beyond govt jobs

A group, the Enterprise Valley Academy, has encouraged youths to look beyond government jobs and get involved in real estates to create wealth.

The group noted that such venture would enable them have a reliable source of income to navigate out of the current economic hardship in Nigeria

Speaking at the launch of the academy, the President, Inimfon Colonel described real estate as a gold mine and urged the youths to ensure they maximize the benefits by being active participants in the sector.

He stressed that the current economic situation does not require one to depend on government alone.

“Under the current economy you don’t sit down and say oh, I work for the government so I cannot do real estate. There is a goldmine in the sector,” he said.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Board, Gideon Ekanem, said youths can earn money in real estate as brokers or investors.

One of the participants, Etini Uko, while encouraging the youths to look for alternative sources of income, said “Instead of going for phones and other personal belongings, as young people, it is better to invest in our future.”
