Six players have been nominated for the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Player of the Month award for February.
The players shortlisted are Chijioke Mbaoma (Enyimba), Godsgift Elkanah (Bayelsa United), Ibrahim Mustapha (Kano Pillars), Nenrot Silas (Plateau United), Nyima Nwagua (Rivers United) and Tochukwu Michael (Sporting Lagos).
Mbaoma netted three goals for Enyimba in the month.
He extended his goal tally to seven this season.
Elkanah helped Bayelsa United to three wins in three outings in February.
Mustapha continued with his impressive form for Kano Pillars as he increased his goal tally to seven in the month.
Silas netted once in Plateau United’s 5-1 thrashing of Heartland in Awka.
Micheal is regarded as one of the best signings of the mid-season transfer window after his exploits for Sporting Lagos.
The midfielder has netted three times since his move from Remo Stars.
Nwagua had an impressive showing for Rivers United in the month.
He netted a hat-trick against Doma United on matchday 20 in Port Harcourt.
The winner of the award will be announced next week.
