Europa League: Lookman seeks end to 18-game goal drought

Ademola Lookman will look to end his 18-game goal drought in Europe when Atalanta face Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg tie on Wednesday (today).

The Nigerian has not scored in Europe since his brace in Everton’s 3-0 victory over Cypriot club, Apollon Limassol in December 2017.

Lookman failed to register a goal in Europe during his stint with RB Leipzig and Leicester City.

The winger is also yet to open his goal account for Atalanta in a European competition.

The 26-year-old was on target in La Dea’s 2-1 home defeat to Bologna last weekend.

It was his eighth league goal and 10th of the season in all competitions.
