Jigawa tripartite committee on minimum wage submits report

The Tripartite Committee constituted by the Jigawa State Government to develop a position paper on the new national minimum wage has submitted its report to the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.

The committee was chaired by the former Head of the Civil Service in Jigawa State, Alhaji Mustapha Aminu.

Presenting the report, the chairman of the committee, Mustapha Aminu, thanked the state government for entrusting them with this significant assignment.

Upon receiving the report, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the committee for their diligent work.

“On behalf of Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, I want to thank you for your hard work and dedication to the state,” the SSG stated.

This development comes as civil servants in Jigawa rejected the government’s decision to implement a N10,000 wage increase for three months.

They asserted that the amount falls short of the agreement reached between the NLC and the federal government.

The civil servants have, however, urged the state government to reconsider its decision for the betterment of its citizens.
