EPL: Better player compared to Chelsea’s Mudryk – Upson names Arsenal’s best finisher

Former Arsenal defender, Matthew Upson has named forward Leandro Trossard as Arsenal’s best finisher.

Upson insisted that the Belgian is very clinical in front of goal, suggesting that Belgian is a better player than Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk.

Recall that Chelsea beat Arsenal to sign Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89 million in January.

However, the Ukrainian international has struggled to make a huge impact at Chelsea, scoring only two goals and as many assists in 27 games across competitions since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Trossard, on the other hand, arrived at Arsenal in January on a £27 million deal from Brighton and made an immediate impact, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists across 36 appearances in all competitions.

“Trossard has made a great contribution, showing his versatility again. What a signing he has been from Brighton. I really do believe he has been a top signing for Arsenal, a really good finisher as well,” Upson told Premier League Productions (via FOOTBALL TALK).

“For me, they have got a better player for a lot less money [compared to Mudryk]. I think he is possibly the best finisher at the club.

“Technically, when you have a look at his goals, left and right foot, in and around the edge of the box, he’s very accurate, very clinical.”
