Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has commended his team for their impressive performance against Gombe United.
Ogunmodede’s side thrashed the Savannah Scorpions 4-0 in a matchday eight fixture at the Remo Stars Stadium on Sunday.
In-form forward Sikiru Alimi netted a brace to increase his goal tally to seven this season.
Franck Mawuena and Aniekeme Okon scored the other goals for the Sky Blue Stars.
Ogunmodede said the players approached the game as planned.
“The good thing is that the players played the game as planned during practice,” he told the club’s media.
“The first goal gave the players confidence to express themselves.
“All the players performed well in the encounter aside one or two who are yet to be match fit.”
Remo Stars moved up to second position on the table with 15 points.
Remo Stars will play Akwa United next at the Eket Township Stadium.
