Enyimba head coach Finidi George has revealed his team’s mission ahead of Saturday’s Nigeria Premier Football League encounter against Kano Pillars.
The two teams, who are former champions of the NPFL, will clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium in what is the biggest game in the NPFL this weekend.
Matches between both teams have generated huge followership in the past and this will certainly not be an exception.
Kano Pillars have won all three home games this season and will be counting on the vociferous home fans to be the 12th man on the field for them.
Enyimba, on the other hand, have drawn one and lost one in their two away fixtures this term.
Finidi, a former Super Eagles winger, is upbeat that they can get a positive result from the game.
“We came here for a good result and to see how we can win and not lose. At least we have to go home with something,” the former Ajax star was quoted by the club’s official website.
Pillars sit in 11th position on the NPFL table, having amassed nine points from seven games.
Holders Enyimba, who have played just four games due to their continental engagement, lie in 16th position with seven points.
