Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has told his players they must work hard if they want to beat their quarter-final opponent, Angola.
The West Africans are pundit’s favourites to secure a berth in the last four.
The Super Eagles have impressed many with their gritty displays in the competition.
Peseiro’s side were impressive in the wins against hosts Cote d’Ivoire and perennial rivals Cameroon.
The Portuguese has, however, refused the favourites tag going into the game against the Palancas Negras.
“It’s going to be a tough game between two teams that want to reach the final. Angola is not a big name but they have good players and have played well in this competition. It’s going to be a tough game,” Peseiro said during his interaction with the media in Abidjan on Thursday.
“It will be a tough game but we need to approach it with vigour, commitment and good spirit to come out with a win.
“It’s going to be 50/50 for the two teams. I believe in my team, we want to win even though we won’t accept we are the favourites. We will go there and fight.”
Nigeria and Angola will clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Friday.
