Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on Wednesday appointed Tayo Oluwatuyi as the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
Oluwatuyi’s appointment was made following the dissolution of the State Executive Council, SEC, by the governor on Wednesday.
With the appointment taking immediate effect, Aiyedatiwa also appointed Abayomi Olasanya as the Chief of Protocol.
The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The new SSG, popularly known as ‘Tukana,’ had served in the same capacity under the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu when his predecessor, Sunday Abegunde, resigned from office.
Oluwatuyi had also served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the late Akeredolu, as well as Caretaker Chairman during the administration of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
The statement reads: “The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi (Tukana) as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
“The Governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Abayomi Olasanya as the Chief of Protocol. Both appointments take immediate effect.”
