Nigeria defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, has warned Guinea-Bissau that the Super Eagles want revenge when both teams clash at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Nigeria will face Guinea-Bissau in their final Group A tie on Monday evening.
Jose Peseiro’s side head to the game following a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast on Thursday.
However, Nigeria had lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau in the AFCON qualification last March.
The Super Eagles had won two and lost one of their last three matches against Guinea-Bissau.
Speaking ahead of both teams’ clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Osayi-Samuel, who has played second fiddle to Ola Aina so far at the AFCON, told reporters in the mixed zone after the win against the Elephants: “Now that we are playing Guinea-Bissau, it’s a team that beat us so of course we all want revenge.
“We know that they are not an easy team.”
