Abuja: AEDC announces blackout in Gwarimpa

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has announced a power outage in Gwarimpa, the Nation’s capital.

The company disclosed this in a notice through its official X account on Friday night.

AEDC attributed the outage to a technical fault in the 15 MVA, 33/11kV Power Transformer at 1 x15 MVA, M44 Charley Boy Injection.

Areas affected are Roads 63, 64, 69 and environs, lya Kasuwa and environs, Adkan Estate, Gwarinpa and environs.

The DisCo said the affected locations will be out of power for more than 72 hours.

Similarly, the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc informed its customers that the outage experienced in the Rivers State capital since Thursday was “due to loss of supply from Afam 132KV line”.

The areas affected include Port Harcourt Town, PH Main and Rumuosi Transmission Stations.

The DisCo blamed “faulty conductor wire” at Port Harcourt Town Transmission Station for the outage.
