Kelechi Iheanacho has impressed in training and is pushing hard to start the Super Eagles 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A clash against hosts Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday.
Iheanacho arrived at the team’s Pullman Hotel base in Abidjan on Saturday morning after recovering from a muscular injury.
The 27-year-old was named among the substitutes in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
DAILY POST can report that the Leicester City player has looked sharp in training.
The forward has also recovered fully from his injury.
With Alex Iwobi’s poor showing against Equatorial Guinea, Iheanacho could be named among the starters against the Elephants.
