Dangote Refinery awaits Nigerian Govt’s approval to hit market with diesel, aviation fuel

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has sought the approval of the Nigerian Government to supply the domestic market with diesel and other petroleum products.

The company disclosed this in a statement over the weekend.

The approval is expected from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, the agency responsible for regulating midstream and downstream petroleum operations in Nigeria.

“We have started the production of diesel and aviation fuel, and the products will be in the market within this month once we receive regulatory approvals”, it stated.

DAILY POST reports that the 650,000 barrels per day Dangote refinery commenced production in the early hours of Friday.
