Rangers head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed optimism ahead of his side’s matchday 18 clash against Gombe United.
Ilechukwu said the team is focused on replicating their impressive start to the league season.
The Flying Antelopes will take on Gombe United on Saturday(today) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
‘No doubt, we missed it in our last match in Benin but that is behind us now and we are looking and working towards getting a positive result against Gombe United,” he told the club’s media.
“Yes, I understand that we are not where we rightly belong but with the determination that I see in the faces of my players, we are on the line towards making our supporters smile again.
“Gombe United is not a small side and we respect them as they have a great tactician in Mohammed Babaganaru but we have our eyes on the maximum points at stake.”
Rangers defeated Gombe United 1-0 during their last meeting in 2022.
Chidiebere Nwobodo scored the only goal in the game.
