Arsenal are negotiating with Everton over midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Nieuwsblad Sport.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants to add to his midfield options this January window.
Arteta has identified Onana and Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz as his top targets.
However, Villa are likely to demand a high price for Luiz, as he still has over two years remaining on his current contract.
Onana represents a less expensive option, and Arsenal are currently in talks with Everton over a move for the 22-year-old.
Manchester United tried to sign Onana last summer but Everton demanded a £50 million transfer fee.
