Niger Tornadoes chief promises quick return to home ground

Niger Tornadoes Chairman Ibrahim Dada has assured the club supporters that the team will soon return to the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.

The Ikon Allah Boys home ground is undergoing renovation after it failed to meet Nigeria Premier Football League requirements to host games.

The Minna club currently play their home matches at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

Dada pleaded with the supporters to exercise patience before their return.

“We shall soon resume playing our home matches at the Late Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium Minna, we understand your taste for wanting us back home but be a little more patient,” he told the supporters.

Niger Tornadoes will take on Heartland in a matchday 17 fixture on Sunday.

They currently occupy the 18th position on the table with 16 points.
