Enyimba assistant coach, Olanrewaju Yemi, has said the aim of the team is to close the gap with the league leaders.
The People’s Elephant are three points behind Remo Stars and Lobi Stars at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table who are on 29 points respectively.
Enyimba will lock horns with Sporting Lagos in a matchday 17 fixture at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday.
Yemi said the team is ready to secure the maximum points in the game.
“We are ready to go and we know what is at stake in the game,” he told the club’s media.
“I don’t think we can compromise our target as we want to close the gap on Remo Stars and Lobi Stars at the top of the summit.”
Enyimba currently occupy fourth position on the table and has one outstanding game.
