Former Chelsea goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer, has urged Manchester United to make a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Schwarzer insisted that Ramsdale is far better than Man United’s current first-choice keeper, Andre Onana.
According to him, the England shot-stopper will be an excellent signing for the Red Devils in the ongoing January transfer window.
Ramsdale has fallen down in his team’s pecking order following David Raya’s arrival on a season-long loan deal from Brentford last summer.
Onana, on the other hand, has made some high-profile errors for Man United and he is set to depart for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, to represent his country Cameroon.
“But if he didn’t go to Chelsea, where else is there for Ramsdale? There is Manchester United, which I think would also be an excellent destination for him,” Schwarzer told Optus Sport
“He is far better than Andre Onana in my opinion, but probably not in Erik ten Hag’s opinion, as he will most likely stick with his summer signing given how much he is backed him through his early struggles at Old Trafford so far.”
