Atalanta have set an asking price of £51.7million for Manchester United to sign their player Giorgio Scalvini.
According to SportItalia, Man United are the latest club to stake an interest in Scalvini, after the Red Devils’ scouts sent back rave reports on the defender.
Scalvini already has seven caps for Italy national team after his rapid rise with Atalanta.
The 20-year-old made his debut for the Serie A club at the age of just 17 and has been a regular ever since, making a further 73 appearances for the team.
His development has not gone unnoticed as Juventus and AC Milan are also said to be eyeing up moves for him.
Meanwhile, Man United are keen to sign Scalvini as Raphael Varane is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, while there remains doubt over Harry Maguire’s future.
