8th National Youth Games medal ranking: Delta leads, Edo, Oyo among top states [Full list]

Delta State is currently leading the medal ranking table of the ongoing 8th National Youth Games in Nigeria.

As of Saturday night, Delta were leading the medal standings through their impressive performances across different events.

The South-South State maintains the number one position with a total of 14 medals (8 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze).

Behind Delta is Edo State, which is in second place with 10 medals (5 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze).

Oyo (4 gold, 2 silver, and 0 bronze), Abia (3 gold, 0 silver, and 0 bronze), and Bayelsa (2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze) completes the top five States.

DAILY POST reports that the 8th edition of the National Youth Games started on September 9 and will end on September 19.

The opening ceremony took place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
