The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested four applicants over fake results as screening for recruitment of police constables continue in the state capital, Yola.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the screening exercise was without challenges except the four fake result suspects.
According to him, the four were picked up after tangible feelers that they were using fake results.
He said the suspects had been handed over to CID Department of the state Police Command for further investigation.
Nguroje, who recalled the total numbers of applicants from Adamawa State as 29,848; added that the state command had by Thursday successfully screened 9,687 candidates.
He advised the applicants to avoid anything that could create problems during and after the screening; specifying that they were to desist from giving anybody money in the name of helping with screening.
“The screening is free,” Nguroje stressed.
