27,026 applicants fail CBT for temporary teaching job in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Universal Basic Board, has said no fewer than 27,026 applicants for temporary teaching job have failed Computer Based Test (CBT).

The chairman of the board, Professor Haruna Musa, disclosed this while speaking to newsmen on the outcomes of the examination.

He said out of the 32,653 teachers that have applied for the J-teach programme in the state only 5,624 applicants passed.

Professor Musa explained that the commission will also screen the 5,627 successful candidates to engage 3000 applicants for the temporary teaching job.

“According to him 3,000 j teachers will be employ to teach in primary and junior secondary schools across the state.”

The chairman also said the board will conduct credential verification of the applicants to ensure the authentication of their credentials.
