2026 WCQ: Tella stakes claim for regular shirt in Super Eagles

Super Eagles new boy, Nathan Tella, is eager to become a regular member of the team.

Tella is in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

It’s the first time the Arsenal trainee will be involved with the Nigerian national team.

The 24-year-old can make his debut for the three-time African champions against the Likuena of Lesotho on Thursday.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger stated that he wanted to prove his class at the international level.

“My first training session with the Super Eagles was good. I’m with a very talented team, very good players and it’s nice to be a part of them and they welcomed me well. I’m happy and looking forward to the upcoming games,” Tella told the Super Eagles media.
