Super Falcons interim head coach, Justin Madugu claimed the team will give their all to secure a place at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations
The Falcons will battle Cape Verde for a place in the biennial competition.
The first leg of the final qualifying round contest will hold at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday.
The return leg will be staged in Praia next week Tuesday.
“We are working hard to prepare our team in the best possible way to get over the finish line and get the ticket for the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco. We are aware that Cape Verde can pose a threat but Super Falcons remain a force in Africa anytime, any day. We have told the players how important the match is to Nigerians and we cannot afford to disappoint them,” Madugu told reporters.
“With the quality of players we have in camp and from what I have seen from the training sessions, I have no doubt in my mind that we will defeat our opponents, although we are without a few regular players for various reasons but we are equal to the task.
Everyone in camp will play their part for the Super Falcons to qualify for Morocco 2024.”
